Magnum, Mason, Enigma and, of course, JD Screw were particular favourites of mine for Spring Stampede. I've helped write a few of the matches and hopefully they give justice to all the guys involved (I've tried to highlight the people involved's individual styles)

As usual I enjoyed yours AJ, you build storylines and a backstory for your character(s) rather than just writing something generic and that always makes things more interesting

So that means a lot coming from you. Thanks.

I got huge respect for all Role Players. I think what I love the most about this fed is the different styles that everyone has. From the novel like ones of Mason, or the big film script ones like AJ...to the more classic of Mike C....they are awesome. I don't think there was one RP that I didn't enjoy. Well done everyone.

Okay, honest opinion on my first one this week? I figured I should try and step my game up for that world title.lol I gotta say this is one of the best rps that I've ever written so I would like some feedback.
p.s.-and it's only part 1 of 4 parts....the best is yet to come!HaHa!

Good work, I like the idea of a 4-parter (I'm guessing it'll run across all 3 of your matches?). It means you can build the character and the storylines better, look forward to reading the other 3 parts!

I really liked everyones RPs being new to this it really shows me the standard I got to work to. I'm just used to writing stupid little sketches. I posted my first RP, be gentle:)

Okay Loaded Dice here is my opinion:
1) The first thing is please be sure to spell check. There were a lot of misspelled words. While this isn't a huge deal, sometimes it does make the roleplay harder to read.
2) Make sure you know what you are talking about. It is not a barbecue, it is a grill. Barbecue is what you cook on a grill. Again it is something small, but it just takes away from the roleplay.
3) I wouldn't have referred to the camera being in front of your face. That is already presumed, but just my opinion.
4) The dialog between characters wasn't bad. It was good enough to get the job done.
5) I think you should work on your descriptions. Everything was kind of plain. For example, when you talked about one guy being "rugged and wearing a cowboy hat." How does he look rugged? What color is the hat? How is it sitting on his head?
You got promise, just need to work on a couple of things.

Hi Jeremiah,
Thanks for your input. I appreciate the time and insight. I agree on all points except one. We are both right about Barbeque:
Dictionary.com:
barbeque
noun 1. meat that has been barbecued or grilled in a highly seasoned sauce [syn: barbecue] 2. a cookout in which food is cooked over an open fire; especially a whole animal carcass roasted on a spit [syn: barbecue] 3. a rack to hold meat for cooking over hot charcoal usually out of doors [syn: barbecue]
Luckily I didn't just call it a "Barby" like we do in Australia:)
Cheers again.

No disrespect Jeremiah, but I disagree with some of that. True, Wayne, your spelling sucks...but I've always know that. But I personally don't like it when RPs spend a page describing the scene. I think it's Padding. We've all seen a cowboy hat, unless it's an angle piece it doesn't really matter what the colour is. I'm really old school when it comes to role playing. I believe that the things we write should be more WWE scripts than D&D tomes. I belive they should be like the various promo types used in wrestling, in the ring, backstage, at a bar etc but I believe a RP should be focused on the match they are for. When I read RPs that are essentially nothing about the match I wonder what the point was no matter how good and entertaining they are.
Talking to the camera or about the camera man...it's what we call in the TV biz (I know, total douche) breaking the forth wall and Wayne and I use that in sketches for a cheap laugh. I think it adds realism to them but opinions are like butts everyone has them.
But speaking from my butt...I mean opinion, I like it when an RP sets the mood (without over doing it, I don't need to know about the fog the colour of milky tea hanging heavy in the air like a cloak around the neck of a madian at her husbands funeral...tell me it's foggy and I get it.) I want some smack talk about your opponent and maybe an angle hook. Badda bing badda boom done-sky. I personally feel a bit disrespected when my character is going up against someone and their RP doesn't even mention me. I want them to tear into my character, I want them to make fun and tell me how bad they are going to beat me. And I think people like Mike C (I'm sick of praising you...not really) prove that it's not a stale or dead way to RP.
Everyone has their own way, just sharing how I feel. Speaking of which, Wayne, loved the bondage gag. Classic.

You make a valid point, JD and I will agree with you. However I didn't mean he had to overly describe to make it extra long, but enough to make the roleplay entertaining. Without enough description most roleplays are stale and boring for example.
"Two men sit at the bar. One is big and fat, the other skinny as a tooth pick. Both men look up from their drinks at the camera."
To me that is a little boring for my taste and truth be told I would stop reading. Like you said we all have opinions, but I appreciate the healthy debate.

I enjoyed your rp's as usual AJ, although I would have saved kicking TBM out of tUe for the pay-per-view. Still, you got to be in with a real chance (until you face me!)
Any feedback on mine, other than the usual JD Screw praise? (shall I set you up your own thread JD so you can come out and say how great I am every week? ;p)
Also, having spent time in Brisbane, Southport and Currumbin, Australia last year, glad to see an influx of guys from some of my favourite places in the world!
