GWA Global Title AJ Johnson vs. JD ScrewMaria May: Ladies and Gentlemen the following contest is our main event and is for the GWA GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP!
The fans rise to their feet and go wild. After a few seconds, “Staring At The Rude Bois” by Gallows kicks in and Classy Mike C steps out onto the stage!
Stabler: What is Classy Mike C doing here?! He's not a part of this match!
Jones: Guess he's here to check out the competition.
Mike C makes his way to the ring as the fans chant his name. He rolls into the ring and salutes them before swiftly exiting once again and making his way to the announce table.
Stabler: Looks like we have a special guest commentator on this match, welcome Mike C!
Jones: Good to have you with us champ!
Mike C: Steady on Kid, I'm not the champ yet. The whole reason I'm here is to get a front row view on which of my good friends I get to dethrone at Blood Bath.
“I Made It” by Donnis plays over the sound system and AJ Johnson steps out onto the stage alongside “Big” Vito Smothers to a chorus of boos. Black and gold pyros shoot up as AJ slowly makes his way to the ring, with Smothers
following a few yards behind.
Maria May: First, the challenger. Accompanied by “Big” Vito Smothers, from Atlanta Georgia and weighing in at 230lbs...AJ Johnson!
Stabler: This should be another classic between AJ Johnson and JD Screw, these men have been at each other's throats for weeks!
Jones: Tell me about it, and I like AJ Johnson's chances now he has this monster “Big” Vito Smothers in his corner!
Mike C: Ahh please, these big boneheads like Smothers are ten-a-penny. The bigger they come, the harder they fall.
AJ poses in the ring as Smothers stands guard in the background. He then makes his way over to his corner and from there taunts Mike C, who gets to his feet in response. This prompts Smothers to exit the ring and stand between
the two.
Mike C: You want some big boy? I've already beaten your boss more times than I can count, don't make me kick your arse to!
Stabler: Steady on Mike, we don't want any trouble here.
AJ turns his attention to the ramp however as “Spoilin' For A Fight“ by AC/DC plays and the fans rise to their feet. JD Screw steps out onto the stage. His five o'clock shadow has become a full beard and he's wearing a colourful
cowboy hat, sunglasses and matching extravagant jacket, clearly in tribute to the late, great Macho Man Randy Savage.
Maria May: And his opponent, from Memphis, Tennessee and weighing in at 235lbs...he is the GWA Global Champion...”The 100 Proof Ass-Kicker”...JD Screw!
JD Screw performs a few “Macho-esque” taunts before making his way to the ring, slapping hands with the fans along the way. He enters the ring, prompting AJ and Smothers to move to the outside. JD scales the turnbuckles and
points to the crowd before pointing down at AJ on the outside.
Stabler: What a tribute to the great Randy “Macho Man” Savage. Well Mike, here's the man who challenged you to the match all the GWA fans wanted to see at Blood Bath, but if AJ Johnson has his way that match will be delayed
once again.
Mike C: And for that reason, as well as the tribute to one of my heroes, for one night only I'm a JD Screw fan. I hate this guy as much as I hate AJ Johnson, if not more, but I'm determined to show all the GWA fans that I am the
better man unquestionably when I beat him at Blood Bath.
Jones: I'm sure it will be a classic!
The referee takes the GWA Global Title from JD Screw and holds it aloft as JD removes his hat, glasses and jacket. AJ & JD square up in the centre of the ring and the ref hands the belt to the ring announcer before calling for the bell
as the match begins. Johnson holds up his hand to Screw for a test of strength, but as Screw goes to lock in Johnson boots him in the gut and begins unloading right hands. Johnson whips Screw into the ropes and goes for a
clothesline, however Screw ducks and rebounds off the opposite ropes, nailing Johnson with a clothesline of his own. Johnson gets up and receives a right hand from Screw, who then whips him into the turnbuckles. Screw charges at
Johnson but Johnson moves, however Screw uses his momentum to leap onto the turnbuckles and fly back at Johnson with a spinning cross body. Screw attempts an early pin, 1...2...Johnson kicks out with ease. Both men get up and
AJ shoves Screw, who responds with a slap to the face before unloading jabs on Johnson. Johnson stumbles away and Screw launches off the ropes before nailing Johnson with a knee to the back, sending him hurtling to the outside.
JD scales the turnbuckles and the fans pop as he lines up AJ Johnson for a double axe handle smash a la Randy Savage, however Vito Smothers stands over Johnson, blocking Screw's way.
Stabler: The fans are even more behind JD Screw thanks to his tribute to Randy Savage, as they were behind you when you gave your own tribute during your match with TKO earlier tonight!
Mike C: We don't agree on much but it's clear to see Macho's influence on both myself and JD Screw
Jones: Here's to hoping you can build a match like he did at Blood Bath...should you both get there!
Smothers helps AJ Johnson back to his feet and into the ring as JD Screw backs off. Johnson and Screw lock up, with Johnson locking in a headlock. Screw catapults Johnson off the ropes and catches him with a shoulder block. Now
Screw rebounds off the ropes, however Smothers grabs his ankle, tripping him. Screw gets up and confronts Smothers, however Johnson nails Screw with a forearm from behind before hitting him with an inverted DDT. Johnson
attempts a pin, 1...2...kick out easily from Screw. Johnson drags Screw to his feet and nails him with a big right hand before whipping him into the turnbuckles. Johnson charges at Screw and nails him with a big elbow in the corner.
As Screw stumbles forwards Johnson nails him with a drop kick, sending him to the mat. Johnson drops a leg on Screw before climbing the turnbuckles. Johnson steadies himself before nailing Screw with a frog splash and going for a
pin...1...2...kick out!
Stabler: I thought Johnson was the new champion there!
Jones: He wants the gold back, that's for sure!
Mike C: As long as he realises he's just a transitional champ before I get my hands on it that's fine!
Johnson argues with the ref about the speed of the count before stomping on Screw. Johnson drags Screw to his feet and whips him into the ropes before nailing him with a spinning heel kick. Johnson grabs Screw by the ankle before
locking in a figure four leg lock! Screw screams in agony as Johnson applies more and more pressure. The referee checks for submission, however Screw won't give in. Screw struggles and manages to gain some momentum before
rolling over and reversing the hold! Johnson is now the one in agony, however he's able to role both stars under the bottom rope and to the outside, breaking the hold. The ref starts to count 1...2...3...Johnson gets to his feet and rolls
into the ring...4...5...JD Screw is just about on his feet when AJ distracts the ref. Quickly, Vito Smothers grabs JD Screw and slams him into the ring post before sliding him back into the ring. The ref turns around but only sees that JD
is back in the ring and Johnson quickly goes for the pin...1...2...kick out at the last moment! Johnson is furious and gets to his feet before stomping on Screw's ankle. Johnson drags Screw over to the ropes and rests JD's right ankle on
the bottom rope before repeatedly jumping on it. Screw screams in agony as Johnson stands and applies pressure on the ankle. Johnson drags Screw to his feet and attempts to whip him across the ring, however Screw falls to the
mat, unable to run on his right ankle. Johnson shakes his head and goes to drag Screw up, however Screw reverses this into a small package! 1...2...kick out by Johnson!
Stabler: JD Screw nearly had him there!
Jones: Looks like a bit of possum was being played!
Mike C: He's a cunning one, I'll give him that.
Johnson is able to get up quicker and drags Screw up. Johnson goes for a right hand but Screw blocks it and comes back with one of his own, and another, and another. Johnson catches Screw with a poke to the eye and grabs him by
the arm. Johnson attempts to clothesline but Screw ducks and nails Johnson with a neckbreaker! Both men are now down and the ref counts 1...2...both men begin stirring...3...4...Johnson is on his knees...5...6...Johnson is back on
his feet when Screw springs himself up, despite the pain in this ankle. Johnson swings but Screw ducks and nails him with an atomic drop. Johnson clutches his rear but turns around straight into a superkick from JD Screw! Screw
struggles to the top turnbuckle as the ref checks on Johnson. However Smothers climbs up onto the ring apron and grabs Screw's bad ankle, forcing him down onto the top turnbuckle, a leg either side.
Stabler: No way referee! Vito Smothers should not be getting involved!
Mike C: So the big lump is good for something then I guess...
Johnson quickly gets to his feet and climbs the turnbuckle before nailing JD Screw with a big vertical suplex. Johnson quickly gets up and climbs the turnbuckles once more...
AJ Johnson wins...
...Johnson leaps and nails Screw with his finisher. The referee counts 1...2...3! Johnson climbs to his feet and raises his arms in victory as “Big” Vito Smothers rolls into the ring with the belt.
Maria May: Ladies and gentlemen here is your winner and NEW GWA GLOBAL CHAMPION...AJ JOHNSON!
Johnson and Smothers begin putting the boots into Screw as the referee tries in vain to stop them. Smothers shoves the ref away as Johnson targets Screw's ankle.
Mike C: Screw this!
Mike C removes his headset and slides into the ring with a chair. Smothers turns around and receives a shot straight to the skull! Mike C swings for Johnson but he escapes just before it connects. Johnson and Smothers retreat up the
ramp as Mike C screams obscenities at them. Suddenly, Levi Hershey is on the Global tron.
Hershey: Well, well, well. Congratulations to the new GWA Global Champion Mr. AJ Johnson!
The fans jeer as Johnson smirks and raises the belt above his head.
Hershey: Such a shame then Mike that you and JD Screw won't get to have your little tickle fight at Blood Bath. But, credit where credit is due, you've now earned your title shot and there's nothing I can do about it. So Blood Bath, it
will be AJ Johnson vs. Classy Mike C...
Just then R.C. Monroe makes his way to the ring.
Stabler: What the hell? We haven't seen this guy until he showed up here talking about CCW which failed!
Jones: Yeah what is going on?
(Monroe enters the ring and pulls a microphone from his inside pocket)
R.C. Monroe: The GWA damn near made me go broke with that CCW adventure. But I'm a smart business man. And I had just enough money left to put my stamp on this business! And with that said I'm pleased to announce that I
had enough money to buy the contract of a GWA Wrestler. And that wrestler is YOU!
(R.C. Monroe turns and points to AJ Johnson. AJ just stands there looking stunned.)
R.C. Monroe: AJ Johnson welcome to Monroe Enterprises! And not only do I own your contract, I worked another major deal, AJ you and I are headed to Worldwide!
(AJ drops the title in disbelief, Monroe smiles, and we see Levi with a huge grin as Thunder comes to an end.)
