In the first show of the split brands, we saw each brand take the proverbial shots at the other brand.. ranging from stealing titles to another brand to a game of can you top this..a strategy that is normally utilized a little while down the road, but this is certainly a first.
For Worldwide, what set the show apart from Thunder was though the TV title was taken from that brand, Vinny Falcone came up with a way to not only counter that loss, but to even the score as far as titles offered are concerned. Vinny Falcone felt like he needed to rise to the occasion after what had happened. With the incarnation of a couple titles resurrected from the past, will Vinny continue on the path he is on or will he be the mastermind that he has been in the past and overtake Thunder? I'm looking for the talent to step it up and show who's going to be the men and who's going to be the boys on Worldwide. The next episodes will tell the tale.
On Thunder, Levi Hershey made his own waves by having one of his performers insult the management. The performers should know who's calling the shots and what happens sometimes is for the greater good and sometimes will make one upset. I have seen in the past that those that disrespect the management has their lives turned upside down and made a living hell.
On the upper hand, Levi Hershey did send another performer over to what some may refer to as the Flagship show and steal one of their titles. The move was absolutely unforeseen, and a huge feather in the cap of Levi Hershey for orchestrating that. This move has definitely sparked a war between Thunder and Worldwide. The talent on this show are of great caliber, I'm looking for the talent to step it up and show who's going to be the men and who's going to be the boys on Thunder. This may have been an inaugural episode, but I see a lot of potential coming from the roster of Thunder and will definitely be looking in.
Overall for this episode, both brands made their presence felt, and I look forward to the next episodes of Worldwide and Thunder. What will emerge and who will be jockeying for position? I will be back next week to do the run down on both shows and give my opinions.
I am the GWA Reviewer, see you next week.
